Scholarship Information 2013

 

ASMC Heidelberg Chapter Annual Education Scholarship Program 2013

1.  Applications are accepted from all prospective college freshman for the 2013/14 academic year who either:

 a. attended Heidelberg or Wiesbaden American High School  at any time during the 2012/2013 academic year, regardless of where the applicant graduates; or-

b. completes secondary education while parent(s)/sponsor(s) were assigned to the Heidelberg or Wiesbaden American military community for any portion of the 2012/2013 academic year; or-

c. whose parent(s)/sponsor(s) is/are dues-paying member(s) of the ASMC Heidelberg Chapter.

 

Applicants are encouraged to pursue a degree in a field related to financial/resource management (i.e., accounting, economics, business/government administration, computer science), but other majors are considered.

 

Required submissions are:  Application form; Essay of 250 words OR LESS describing career/academic goals and financial need; Proof of ACT or SAT scores (official report not required; photo copies accepted); Letter(s) of Recommendation.  All letters of recommendation must accompany your application at time of submission; however, they may be attached in a sealed envelope.

 

The application and all attachments will be reviewed by a screening panel comprised of members of the ASMC Heidelberg Chapter.  Judging criteria is provided in the application guidance.

 

Submission deadline is Friday, 8 February 2013.  The application with all attachments must be RECEIVED by the deadline regardless of the method of submission.  Extensions are not granted and late submissions are not considered for any reason.  Electronic submission deadline is 2359 hrs, 8 February 2013.
